Quite a few of you know that I have an intolerance to gluten. I have been on a gluten free diet for about six months and it has been a turbulent half year, with many relapses into eating wheat and gluten foods. It has made me bloated, moody and have an inability to lose weight effectively. I know I've already lost 10 kilograms but still have a long way to go.
I'm constantly tired but cannot get a good night's sleep. I usually get around three to four hours a night, which impacts on my everyday life.
My moodiness affects the relationship I have with my children. I feel like I give up too easily when the children act up and I shouldn't feel that way. It also affects the relationship between me and my husband. I really feel for him when my temper get out of hand, eventhough it doesn't happen very often, I can see the strain my diet puts on us.
I'm hoping that this detox will help flush my body of toxins, making it function to a "new normal" and clear my mind. I want to do the things I want to do and improve my general well being.
With this detox, I'm hoping to lose approximately 5-6 kilograms. I want to be able to start my "new normal" after this detox free from wheat and gluten.
I will blog all my feelings, everytime I eat or drink something (except water cuz that's stupid - i'd be at the computer all day!!) and also when I stumble or fall off the wagon. I won't lie to myself, that's where I've gone wrong time and time again..
